why is my AC blowing out hot air i want to cry i am so uncomfortable!!!! can anyone help me

The compressor is probably broken. that happened to me a few years ago.

is your filter clean???? also, FH poured some cold water on the outside part of the unit to help ours out a bit...it worked - so maybe try that???

its one of those inside standing ones with the hose thingy that goes out the window i cleaned the filters ....maybe your right about the compressor ... do i buy a new one or do i have to buy a new AC we just bought this one not even a year ago

im not sure i can survive (i know that sounds dramatic) but i live in an attic apartment

I hear ya. my bedroom is upstairs and its like a 20 degree difference between the downstairs.

I'm not sure. My AC is in the window. but i had to replace the whole thing. it wasn't worth fixing.
