jenny-did you know exactly what you wanted--b/c when i went to flowers by brian i didn't know a thing and they still quoted me!! they quoted by what i needed not by the type of flower--does flower michelle quote by type of flower or what you need? i posted what i needed on the vendor board if ya want to take a look!!! thanks again for posting so quickly!!

I went in with an idea (actually, I went with pictures) of what I want, which is roses and hydrangeas. The size of my arrangements (bouquets, centerpieces & decorations) definitely increased my cost.
I guess the florist gave you a quote based on the average bouquet or centerpiece, assuming you would pick in-season/available flowers. I would imagine that it's the amount of flowers that they need and/or labor (depending on type of arrangement) that would increase the average cost.

one more question and then i won't bother you anymore!! :) since i don't know what i want -do they have photo albums so that i can pick something similar to what i want? i would assume that they do---i have an idea--but not exactly sure--flowers by brian told me that no matter what the size/type of flower all bm boquets are a set price and so is the bride's boquet--that made it easy for me b/c i had no clue! thanks again!

PS i will schedule an appointment w/them soon!

John (Flower Michele) had a few albums available to look through so that you can get ideas and view his work.

I did searches online and looked at other brides' arrangements to get an idea of what I wanted prior to making an appointment.

John will definitely help you out by giving suggestions & opinions! If you have photos of your gown and bridesmaids dresses, bring em! That may help with the decision making.
