Depending on your definition of inexpensive... there are a lot of photographers that will just do a dvd of your shots and give you proofs. Albums are often where the expense comes in.
Do you know what style of photography you are interested in? Traditional? Photojournalistic? Artistic?
I know my photographer does just a dvd and partial proof package. We loved her. Stacey Ilyse.

Proline gave me a great price - they do an express package. A high resolution CD (you need that its the best print quality) and photographer for the day is $2000 and an album from what i've seen is usually around $650 but if you want to cut that expense you can do one of those Publisher Books thats done online they come out beautiful are can be created for under $100.
http://www.mypublisher.com/ for the book.

Thanks. I wasnt sure if you could get a package like that. I really dont know what my style is. Believe it or not photography for the wedding is the last on my list. I dont know why because I love taking pictures and documenting everything myself I just think the expense is so crazy.

I love taking pics too, yet I'm not so concerned with photography for the wedding either. I know so many people reading this right now prob think I'm crazy - that I don't think photography for the wedding is so important. But after speaking to other brides I know, they told me if they did it all over again, they'd spend the least on photography. They all said you're all excited when you first get the pics and check them out. But since then, the albums are just stored away somewhere and barely ever looked at. I guess the novelty wears off after awhile. So it's almost nuts to spend so much money on something like that.
As someone mentioned before, Proline does an express package for about $2,000 where it's the CD/proofs for the day. I know with Proline's packages, the guy had told me that you get a CD with all packages and you can take your pics anywhere to get copied and don't have to go through them. So that's pretty cool. Cause I know some places are very strict and say you can only get copies through them, even if they give you the proofs to keep - something with copyright issues. I'd recommend checking out Proline.
