Can we just cancel x-mas this year?

lol

Im already buried in bills for this wedding. FH and I decided to buy a new TV instead of gifts for each other which is fine but that still leaves EVERYBODY ELSE.

i'm so not feeling the x-mas spirit this year. :(

please tell me im not the only one scrooging

OHHHH i'm feeling the same EXACT way...I've decided to not put up the christmas tree either. If i would've done that, i would get really sad and just heck with and start shopping for presents.

I'm knee deep in bills this holiday season and FH and I also decided to buy ourselves something special (Wii) instead of gifts. I managed to get my family all something special (and not too expensive) that they'll appreciate and we're doing Secret Santa in FH's family so that saves us having to buy A LOT of presents. But I know how you feel. I'm still in the Christmas spirit but I wish I had more money so I could splurge on gifts for people.

We have $89 in our account and still have to get about $500 worth of gifts, I can't wait till this is over - I usually love xmas but saving for a house, a wedding and xmas gifts is killing me i really could use a relaxer right about now. and FMIL doesn't seem to care to much that we are trying to save she is very much about the gifts

I feel like SUCH a Scrooge this year. We spent so much money since we just moved Dec 1st. When I look at my bank account I want to throw up!

We have $89 in our account and still have to get about $500 worth of gifts, I can't wait till this is over - I usually love xmas but saving for a house, a wedding and xmas gifts is killing me i really could use a relaxer right about now. and FMIL doesn't seem to care to much that we are trying to save she is very much about the gifts

My FMIL sent me a list of things she wants...who does that!

Totally trying to even avoid going x-mas shopping at all for anyone! I know i HAVE to buy certain people something... like my mom and brothers and grandmother... but I really don't want to because we NEED to save all we can save! Usually I'm done shopping by now but this year I just wish we could skip it for money reasons!

I know exactly how everyone feels. Between saving for our wedding and the economy being as sh**ty as it is right now, FH and I decided to give just one gift to one another. My parents and brother all agreed that we should all go light... I have to say I am looking forward to putting up the tree and decorating the house :)

I am just not into Christmas at all this year. I still don't even have a tree! I started decorating after Thanksgiving and just stopped halfway through.....

thank god im not alone. I love love love x-mas. Its my favorite time of year but its true. With everything going on with the economy too it just seems like this year is such a downer.

There's bills and then some health issues I'm trying to deal with. So not in a Christmas spirt kinda mood.

I was just saying at work yesterday that I really love xmas time, all the decorations and the music and just the overall feel....its just the large sums of money being spent that i dont like!

ugh i'm with you on skipping xmas. I told my family I'm only buying gifts for the little ones -- but thats still like 10 kids. FH and me decided to buy a new digital camera as a gift to each other so we can have a new toy to play with.

I think I'm just gonna bake for the rest of the family, they can enjoy some yummy cookies and pies on xmas -- that's my gift this year

I dont even really celebrate xmas, but I do buy gifts for my immediate family. This year because of wedding expenses I'm only buy for my nephew and younger brother.
