Can we talk about our wedding 'themes' for a moment?

Instead of constantly writing Old hollywood meets Godfather meets Uber sophisicated, after watching Project Runway and after researching it, my wedding is ala Film Noir!!! Look at these awesome pics I found! I think I may do some wedding pics like it. Heres the definition:

Film noir is a cinematic term used primarily to describe stylish Hollywood crime dramas, particularly those that emphasize moral ambiguity and sexual motivation. Hollywood's classic film noir period is generally regarded as stretching from the early 1940s to the late 1950s. Film noir of this era is associated with a low-key black-and-white visual style.

Its perfect!!! I get my mobsters, I get my old hollywood glamour and I get my uber sophisication!

So, with that, how else are you going to incorporate your theme into your wedding? Like I am going to take some pics reminicant of the era, and def. have some surprises along the way...but what are you doing?

We are doing a 'winter wonderland' theme.

To incorporate it, we are doing Blue Silver and Ivory as our colors, using Snowflakes in our monogram.

Using the up lighting we are having Ice Blue and White lights doing a slow fade, as if light is reflecting off of ice, on the walls of the reception room as people walk into it.

We are now looking into getting white winter branches to incorporate the winter trees into the cocktail hour or reception, like behind the Sweetheart table or next to the cake.

I am going to talk to the bakery about incorporating Snowflakes onto the cake.

Our Florist is using Deep Blue crystals to mimic ice in the bottom of the tall centerpieces, and we are going to look into getting icicles and snowflake ornaments and such to add to them.

Our favors are going to have a custom designed logo with snowflake and winter elements, and our invitation starts off with the saying 'the weather outside is frightful, but our wedding will be delightful'

I will call your theme... Mother Nature! No really I love it! You should totally include some Ivy in the mix, or other viney plants. I personally like the the look of vines cascading off the bouquet. Its so pretty.

I dont know if that explains my theme tho. I am going for a colder feel to it, maybe Tree of Life? Mother Nature sounds more earthy to me, a more bohemian feel

look what I found for u:
