Can you believe my FH?

The other day he turns to me and says, 'I can't wait till the wedding is here. I am so sick of planning, I just want it to be here already.'

I turned to him with a look to kill and said, 'You're sick of WHAT planning?! I've done all the planning. I can't even get you to pick out a Mother/Son song.'

Seriously, it's ridiculous. Can they be that dumb, or are they playing stupid? For example, when I tried to get him to go over music with me, he got all bent out of shape and told me he knew nothing about the music and didn't care. So I said fine, then we are having the band play 'It's a Beautiful Day' by U2 when they introduce the BP. And he flips. He's says absolutely not - I hate that song. OMG, if you are not going to help me pick one, you don't get to veto the one I choose!!!

You are absolutely right, I wish I could sit back and be stress free like they are. But at the same time, would you really want them planning the wedding? I mean, stop to think about it - could you tust them? If I left the planning up to him, we'd be renting out the nicest bar on long island and serving all you can eat wings and beer.

I don't mean to laugh, but ya know what? My FI does the SAME EXACT things! He doesn't want to be involved but then when a decision is finally made he has something to say at which point it is kind of late! Like with our date. Let me just say it changed three, yes THREE times! Once even after we sent out save the date cards!!
Just hang in there and 'check' with him before a final decision is made to see if he has any feedback. LOL, all we can do is laugh about it at this point. No point in being frustrated!! These are little things and I try not to get too mad about them - I try to focus on the overall picture - and that we are getting married. That usually soothes me and weakens the grip of my hands that are wrapped around his neck

You know what....I thought the same thing when my FH said something to that effect. But then I thought about it. What they are sick of is losing their women to planning. I swear that's what it is.

While they may not be caring very much about what color ribbon to tie the programs with, the fact that we are caring too much is driving them bananas.

Don't worry, he'll appreciate it the day of, and after.
