my MOH and best friend is getting married in september. 3 months after i am. she got engaged about a month after i did and she still is not a member of LIW!! i have been talking about this site non stop since we got engaged and she just rolls her eyes at me and laughs when i sit at the computer and go on. although she has logged on to take a look at the vendors but nothing else. i don`t know how to convince her that she should join!

at first, i didnt post- just looked at vendors and looked for reviews and ideas and all. Then I got into it. I guess some people just arent into chat forums. I never was on one before this one.
i hope she joins though- keep working on her- lol

yeahhh!! i don`t understand her!! how does she function with out all the help and advice!?! i understand she has me going thru it and a nother girlfriend of hers just got married but ohh my gosssh! this is crazy! sometimes it`s nice to have an outsiders opnion one you know who isn`t being shy about their advice cuz lets face it we all want the truth!!

I know that I got hooked by joining the website just to find vendors and such...but once I clicked on the chat link I was intrigued and love hearing all the ideas. Let her know that chat is where you get all the great ideas; I think it's the most helpful part of the site.

oh i have!! she is just lazy! i think i`m gonna just sign her up tell her her password and make her go on one day while she`s with me. to be honest i signed up before i was engaged just to look around but forgot about it untill he proposed. ***wanna know something funny*** the date i shose when i signed up before the proposal....is the actual date of my wedding. and it was just a random pick!!!

I have friends like that. they wont join myspace and she wont join liweddings. They refuse to join yet they lurk around so it doesnt make sense!

I have 3 friends Ive been telling about this site and they all are like yea yea Ill go on eventually. I try to tell them they dont know what they are missing without sounding like an overly obsessed LIWer.

well i KNOW i am an overly obsessed LIWer!!! i talk about it all the time i am constantly making LIW refrences and even when i talk to people on myspace or facebook i wanna abbrivate things like we do on her FH ans so on....lol

i bet you eventually she'll realize that she needs a corner full of brides going through the same thing. i thought the same thing in the beginning. i was like what do i need a chat board for. then i lurked for a while and saw all the great advice and was like ok dopey stop trying to be a hero and plan this shindig on your own and go get some help!

I didn't understand the addiction of LI weddings till I actually sat down and posted a bit! I totally blame minibride08 for my addiction! lol She said she was addicted and I laughed at her. I thought since I wasn't getting married in LI I wouldn't relate, but this site is wonderful and really helps!
I would tell your friend to post 1 or 2 things...or respond to someone elses post and see how it goes....lol I don't see how she could NOT get addicted!

I did the same thing..I was looking at this site probably about 6 months before I even got engaged. Just getting ideas and seeing what other people were doing. Then I just had to join cause I wanted to give my opinions as well lol
