Can You Feel the Love Tonight?

OK, I really hate that song, but...

It's so good to see everyone spreading the love. From Kathleen's fun picture post, to Goldi's very thoughtful response, Kerry's 2006 awards, to the upcoming 06 GTG...I'm glad we're going out with bang. It would have been close to sad to see the year go down any other way. I want to personally thank you ALL once again for reading, lurking, posting and just throwing out support. Every thread on here is essentially just that. It has been an honor planning this most spectacular event and sharing it all with you. When you go to bed tonight, don't forget to give your husbands a kiss, and yourself a pat on the back. Job well done, ladies.

And to think, I'm dead sober.

Awww I was thinking the same thing.

Despite the drama, the craziness, and the insanity that made up most of our planning, it is great to know that in the end, we're all just a bunch of happy, crazy women out to support one another!!

I've been feeling the love lately and it couldn't have come at a better time....when things are finally settling down from the relentlessly busy year of 2006.

I am so happy to have been able to share this ride with a great group of women, thankful for every drink I've had with a lot of you (some more drinks than others!!) and all of the FMs and posts and advice you have all shared.

Our year may be coming to a close, but the friendships we have made will not be.

I wasnt. I had a glass of wine at dinner and was loopy.

I could not have said it better myself Kris! Considering I was around before the 06 board, I saw how some of the other boards interacted. I think I can honestly say that we have the best set of girls!

Of course we had our drama & bridezilla moments, but through it all, everyone has been there to offer up their support to each & every bride. There are many of us that have not met, but I feel there is a connection just for the sheer fact that we all went through this together!

Never in my life did I think that I would meet such amazing women during my wedding planning process. I can honestly say that I have become the best of friends with leese & PIZZ2306 in which I would have never met if it wasn't for this site. I love you girls & all the others I still have to meet! Of course I have bonded with many of the girls on here that I have already met & look forward to meeting more of you & getting to know you all better at the 06 GTG!!!!

Even though 06 is coming to a close, we can't let this board go to waste. Many of our 06 girls have a BIG year ahead of them as they become mommies & I think it is going to be so thrilling to watch this new generation take its place on this board!!!

The 06 girls truly do rock!!!!

There aren't enough words to describe how much you all mean to me as an incredible group of ladies. I feel close to you all in so many different ways. I offer this to you. A big group hug:

The 06 board has been getting alot of action lately! Im really loving this!!!

Anyway- I'd just like to say a few words myself.

I think my happiest moment on this board was saying my goodbyes & thank you's right before my wedding. It wasn't until recently that I realize how sweet it is knowing that I would be here 4 months after my wedding writing this. This just proves to me that LIW has not only been a valuable resource for all my wedding planning needs but it is a place that I go because I really truly enjoy talking to you girls - not only about wedding related stuff, but about life in general.

It complately amazes me when I look at the list of names attending the 06 GTG on the 27th. I would have never imagined a turnout like that - especially since so many of us got married so early in the year!! This goies to show that this website was the birthplace of so many friendships and memories. (Who would of thought we would consider some threads 'great memories'?

You girls are awesome- Each & everyone of you in your own special & unique way. Your wedding pictures continue to awe me as I have never before seen a group of beautiful ladies like you girls. The GTG on the 27th is going to a blast. I could not have picked a better way to end the year. When we all officially 'meet' its going to be weird knowing that because of LIW, we know so much about each other! I really want to thank Jess & Christine for putting everything together. It is girls like you who make a difference in life. As for the rest of you girls, thank you for the memories, the laughs & for just being there- ALWAYS.
