you can do it

when I was looking around for tuxes for the wedding, a lot of places advertised same day service. But you should probably get started on that, so if there are any alterations needed (sleeve length etc.) they can be done without rushing.

buying vs. renting - a little off the subject

if you rent a tux twice its worth buying. My fiance and my father both just bought tuxedos (Fumagalli and Geoffrey Beene) for around $250 (you can get nice ones for less too). They bought their's online, but there's a bunch of places in Farmingdale that sell discounted tuxedos - around $199. Tux rentals can run $100+. If you buy, you're fiance can wear it again at your wedding. Think about it, we spend so much on our gown that we'll only wear once and the grooms wear used tuxedos that have been worn 100's of times. My fiance wanted to wear his own clothes on his wedding day (he's just renting the vest/tie).

buying vs. renting - thought about it, BUT

FH is losing weight and we didn't want his wedding tux to not fit him or look weird b/c it was altered too much. But I do agree that buying is a much better solution, just not for us...
