how much are you spending for your photographers and videographers. I booked and for both it came out to be 4100 with our album,1-parent album, 2 folios, all proofs, 2-8x10, 1-11x9, we get baby photo montage and honeymoon pics edited into our video and 3 completed dvds. myself and my mother thought it was a very decent price but i told my FH and he nearly had a heart attack. I was thinking that we got an average price. what do you guys think?

no, I just think your FH had no idea what these services cost.
my mom had a fit when our photographer was 3200, but she thought a photographer would cost about $800.... so she was just out of touch....
make him shop around, and then he'll see the light!

i agree, so many people have no clue...they'll think you're spending alot if you are getting an amazing deal...just let them see what other packages cost

he probably doesn't realize what wedding vendors cost on LI. you could find some posts about what other people are paying for similar services and show him that you really got a decent price. when i first started learning about how much different vendors cost i never realized how exensive everything can be!

I think if you shop around a little more, your FI will see that it really is a deal.
Many people pay almost that much just for photo!

I think that's a good deal too! It might work if you tell him to research prices and say that you're willing to look at other vendors if they offer comparable quality and number of products for cheaper...he'll realize very soon how expensive this stuff is

I think thats an average price for what your package includes. Mine is around the same for about the same give or take. My Mom flipped when i told her the price and thought i was ridiculous.. But i called all the vendors on this site and nycityweddings and it was the cheapest I found about.

all I know is that our photographer was $2500, not sure what it all includes except we get all proofs, a parent album and we get a 60 5x7 wedding album. Not sure what else it includes.

that's totally a good price!!!
i've learned that in order to get FH to see it my way, when it comes to how much things cost, i find something in the 'price range' that he wants and show how crappy it is. and then he realizes that i've been right all along.
