can you help me with wording for favors donation?

I want to word it as least wordy as possible..

like:

In lieu of favors, the couple has donated to the American Cancer Society in the name of the bride's Father, John Smith.

That's still to wordy...

I don't know how to shorten it anymore--very to the point. Not wordy at all.
