...for low centerpieces? Just an estimated range would be great. Thanks.

I paid $55 for mine. That was with a discount because they were a house vendor.

Has anyone brought their own vase/bowl/base etc and had it filled with flowers?

Well... it was a bit over 2 years ago, but I think we paid $40 each for a low bowl with roses, ivy, berries, and some other flowers. We used Murphy & Co. in Bayside on Bell Blvd.

I bought the galvanized beach buckets (for my beach theme) and my florist is filling them with white flowers and greens for $18 per centerpiece.

Sometimes you can work out a deal with the reception hall. You may want to ask them.

Re: Can you ladies tell me how much you are paying...
I'm doing mine myself....I'm purchasing roses from the flower district. ($20 for 2 dozen) and I paid $5.00 for mint julep cups.
They should look something like this:
A case of rose petals cost about $20 . . . .I intend to decorate the tables with rose petals as well.
If you have someone to help you put them together, I would definately suggest exploring this option. You'll save a ton!
Good Luck!

I did a test run before ultimately making a decision. Sorry about the poor quality:
