Love the idea...and think I am doing the same thing. I like the idea of an edible favor, b/c most likely it wont go to waste. I end up throwing out most wedding favors.
My Mom loved the idea, as well!

I would definitely do wine. Just imagine having a nice glass of wine over dinner to remember your wedding...

Re: Can you ladies tell me your opinions?
Jackie, those cupcakes looked so good I had to call and find out the pricing. They charge $2.50 for regular size and $3.50 for jumbo. The box is $1.50.
Do you think that's alot per favor? The regular would be $4 each...so $8 a couple. Hmmm...
Regardless, I'm gladd you sent this post out...b/c I've been wondering where to get cupcakes from!

i get that ...except FH and I both dont drink wine. i had some issues arise about alcohol favors because some guests may not like wine, or are recovering alcoholics

true- for 200 guests with them boxed -- it's still under $1,000. I also called Crumbs...the price per cupcake was a bit higher but the boxing of them was only $1

Re: Can you ladies tell me your opinions?
i thought about doing this but I was concerned with the cupcakes in the box. I'm nutty about perfection and it would bother me if they frosting got messed up. I'm CRAAAAZZZZYYY

This was the email I got from Crumbs
We do, do wedding favors. The cupcakes are priced per piece. We have 3 different sized cupcakes signature, classic and taste. The signature is 3”, classic 2” (closest to the size made at home) and the taste is 1” and one bite. I would suggest picking them up or having them delivered on the day of the wedding.
They can come individually boxed in the signature or classic size. If you want for us to box them there is a $150 set up fee and the boxes are $0.50 each. We have a variety of 50 different cupcakes per month. The current price of the cupcakes are signature $2.95-$3.75, classic $2.50-$2.95 and taste are $18.00 a dozen
I asked if I could arrange the boxes myself and she said If you would like to pick up the boxes to avoid the set up fee that is no problem.
I like it! I mean come on who doesn't love a cupcake, and if you think of all the useless **** you've gotten as wedding favor a cupcake sounds great to me!
