There was a nice arrangement on our table at dinner this weekend and the waiter did not know the name of the flowers I could not identify. Anyone know the names?
Rose, peonies and ????
And do they other flowers come in shades of purple?
TIA
ETA - didn't know this post was still going.
I got the answer for anyone who is interested.

i think the green ones may be a filler called appleberry? i had the same thing in my shower centerpieces this past weekend --they look like mini hydrangea...
my sister thought it was called appleberry but i looked up some pics online and that doesn't look like it...sorry --i should call the florist that made them...

I think the green ones may be hydrangea, the large pink/blush colored flowers may be peonies. If they are not peonies, they are roses, but they appear too large.
Either way, they are pretty.

Why don't you call the restaurant, find out who their florist is, and call them direct? This way, you can find out exactly.......

the red ones are definitely peonies - i've seen them in light pink, fuschia, red, purple, and ivory. they're my favorite flower - but they're only in season in spring. that's actually why i wanted to be a may bride - so that i could have peonies. they smell beautiful!
