heres something else to think about...

when my father sold my grandfathers house...it was built on 3 lots...my dad had to get statements from the neighbor to sell to a contractor...and the neighbor said that the driveway had to be on the other side of the house (away from hers)

this was in CT...so not sure if it would apply to you as well...

I do believe it raises you driveway if it is concrete, since it is considered permanent, but for some reason alsphalt isn't.

At least this is what my contractor told me, since we wanted to make the driveway a 2 car, and ahve a 2 car opening at the bottom.

Rules and permits vary from town to town.. You can go down to the village hall and ask for that town's book of ordinance.. which is like a book of guidelines, do's and don't's.. that way you can know what steps are necessary in putting in that type of driveway. ..

I believe that if you change anything on the original survey, that a CO may be required..

Town rules and co's are such BS!!!

Sorry just had to vent!!!!

I had to pay 12,000 for sidewalks that are not put in, and they won't be put in until the town gets to my area.

If I was to put them in myself, I would have to make sure there is proper runoff, and put in sewage drains if necessary. Um yeah, sure sounds like that might be worth my wild. I hate the town rules.
