Original post by jantany26

I'm looking for a place that does small receptions up to 75, in li or queens that charges 40pp including tax and gratuity preferably in warm times. thanks all, we are working with a very small budget. We still want a classy place for 2006.

I had just suggested this to another bride looking to do something within a small budget... Try the Knights of Columbus in Oceanside. They have a large room upstairs that was recently renovated. There are crystal chandeliers and beautiful carpeting. There is a small waterfall outside and at night the trees are lit up in white lights. I had my daughters confirmation party in the smaller room downstairs, we had about 70 people and there was plenty of room. They do the cocktail hour as well as international coffee and cordials. It's run just like a regular hall. We paid $28 per person in May of 2003. I was so happy with it that we are going back this May for my sons' confirmation party and my daughter may have her Sweet 16 upstairs. Any other info. needed please FM. Im trying to get pics together for the other bride, of the party we had downstairs, I'd be happy to forward them to you to.

Vito's in Long Beach!!! They have amazing food!! I had my engagement party there. It was about $42/ person (for sit down meal) on a saturday night... Its about 2 blocks from the beach so great photo opportunity.. I believe their room holds 100 people...
Also Knights of Columbus in Oceanside is really nice. My sister had her engagement party there!
Both places have dance floors.
Good Luck

I know that some country clubs have and inclusive packages like Brentwood Country Club, Middle Island Country Club and places like that.

I also suggest Dante's or Bruno's. You can also try Astoria Manor.

Caffe on the Green in Bayside is pretty nice, and the food it really good.

I agree. I had my shower there on a sat afternoon in the regualr restaurant but they have a a ballroom type room upstairs that overlooks the water and the gardens. I think they are reasonable priced too.
