Jen - my OB told me that you can travel until your 3rd trimester, if you want. The main considerations are how you are feeling, and if your pregnancy is progressing normally without any complications or risk factors.

Some very important tips for traveling while pregnant are: always have a plentiful supply of snacks (preferably low sodium) and water with you and remember to get up and walk around OFTEN - on the airplane and anywhere else. It's critical to keep your circulation going to prevent swelling and blood clots, which can be fatal.

I traveled by airplane in my 5th month and I was fine - just a little antsy and uncomfortable on the long, six-hour flight. But, walking helped!

I went to Paris and London in my first trimester and to San Fran in my second. I had no problems except for extreme tiredness. As long as you walk around a bit and drink lots of water on the airplane if its a long flight you shouldn't have a problem assuming you have a 'normal' pregnancy, if you are a 'high-risk' pregnancy you might be more restricted. Also, travelling in the 3rd trimester is generally not suggested and many airlines will require a note from your doctor. We were supposed to go on a cruise around week 27 but most of the cruise lines won't let you on after week 26.

yes there is no flying in your 3rd trimester - or for that matter cruising either. We went to Bermuda on a Cruise when I was 5 1/2 mos preggo - just made it!

You can fly!!! If you are having a prefect pregnancy you can fly w/ during your 3 as well. My sister did & it was fine.
