Does anyone know anything about them? I'm asking for a friend of FH. They're supposed to have a serial number on them and possibly some other marking...I'm not really sure. Any info would help!

Re: Canadian Diamonds?
I dont know anything about Canadian diamonds specirfically, but I do know that some higher end diamond cutters will engrave a serial number on the edge of the diamond. This is done to protect the consumer from jewelers playing the switcheroo game. My e-ring has that, and its from Lazare diamond cutting company. They're one of the Tiffany's suppliers and you would pay a premium for their diamond over a regular diamond. The serial number engraving and the cut difference was what made FH and I choose it. We were shown 2 diamonds with fairly similar 4C's, one was Lazare another a regular diamond. We were able to see the difference in cut with a naked eye.

Re: Canadian Diamonds?
I have a Canadian diamond and yes, it has a serial number and they also laser engrave a polar bear silhoette in the 'girdle' of the diamond (you cannot see it with the naked eye similar to the serial number.) They are the most environmentally friendly mined diamonds in the world unlike 'blood diamonds.' The diamonds are absolutely gorgeous and since my fiance is Canadian, it makes the diamond that much more special!!
