The quotes we got from the 8 halls we visited are mostly for 2/2006 and now we are thinking of moving the date up to a warmer time of year.
Any chance to get the same pricing for i.e. Labor Day weekend 2005?

Re: CANCELLED DATES at Reception Halls
We didn't ask about cancelled dates, but a holiday weekend tends to be a bit more expensive. I would go back to the places you liked best see if they have labor day weekend available and price them. They may even tell you over the phone if you don't want to go back.

Re: CANCELLED DATES at Reception Halls
That might only work (cancelled dates) if you book a date a few months from now. Dates next year are far enough away that they won't lower the price. But say you wanted to get married in Decemeber they might work something out being it is only 3 months away and there is a slim chance they will book the date.

Re: CANCELLED DATES at Reception Halls
I did not even ask about cancelled dates though. There is a section in the Russos folder that says:
Please inquire about our 'Best Value' Dates for Holidays January, February, March & Cancelled Dates
I know there were 4 weddings at Russos on Monday (Labor Day) - 2 day & 2 evening. I'll check out the pricing and post. Maybe someone had to cancel for a date far enough out that we could book other vendors.

Just have to announce that the hall we BOTH like agreed to move up our 2/19/06 date to October for the same price we were initially quoted.
We plan to make a decision tomorrow.
ETA October 2005 not 10/2004. That would be a flat out no. LOL

I don't know about the trends for next year but I know that this Labor Day weekend was the most popular weekend to get married so far this year.
