Cancelled DJ. . .need suggestions

Since we cancelled the DJ we booked I am now on a search for a new DJ. i am looking into Ralph from High Energy and Long Island Sound. Any feedback or information on either of these DJ's?? Thanks for the help!!

I am using Long Island Sound and absolutely loved Mike B. there. He is great. He shows you everything they do on this video then takes you into this room (filled with a full light show, the dj turn table and the mic) and gives you a brief example of how he would do the introductions. This made me and FH book him on the spot. My aunt also knows him personally so this might have helped us out on the price. The price was great for all that we are getting. Let me know if you want any more info. on them.

i had great experiences with both High Voltage and Tommys Tunes

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience with High Voltage which is why we are now looking for a new DJ. I am looking forward to meeting with Long Island Sound though, they sound great!

If you're still open to other DJ's, I'm very happy with my guy, Steve from Then 'til Now. He's VERY professional, reasonable, has his *stuff together. I was worried about what he would charge since I'm extending my CH by a half hour, and when I called to ask after we signed the contract, he was SO nice and said, 'don't worry about it... just tip my DJ a bit more... I won't charge you anything.' That goes a long way with me. He's very classy and plays a GREAT variety... knows how to read a crowd - yet respect the wishes of the couple's tastes. And NOT CHEESY, which was my #1 priority in finding a DJ. FM me if you want contact info. . Good luck!!!

Absolute Entertainment.. they are in sayville and a vendor on here.. im using them for our wedding (and have for past events as well) and loooove them
Jeff is the best mc ever (imo of course ).. and kevin the owner is a great guy to deal with..

We're using Dance Jock (also a vendor here). We've been to 3 weddings with them and they've been fantastic every time!

we're also using dancejock... recommended to me by a coworker who used to be a deejay and worked for many l.i. companies - it was his highest recommendation and we loved them instantly

long island sound i saw at a showcase....they looked great!!

But def look into Dance Jock!!!!

Call Frank from FM Entertainment...he was EXCELLENT at my wedding and has wonderful reviews!! He is also a vendor on here too!

thanks everyone! You've all given me alot to think about. It was a tough decision to cancel our DJ, it was the first vendor we booked and we were so excited, but i am so relieved to have cancelled. I was worrying about it way too much and I don't want anything to stress me out like that on my wedding day!

Tommy Tunes was a nightmare from start to finish, but then again you were there to witness it all first hand.

Ray from Variety..I'm not DJ person and I attended a wedding where he DJ'd..he was great and very unobtrusive.

I'm using Top Hat Entertainment. I met with LI Sound and wasn't impressed but it depends what you're looking for. I didn't want an MC or someone who talked a lot. FSIL used the DJ I booked and they were really great at her wedding. I'm very confident in them.
