Just curious if anyone had to send in a written letter stating the reasoning behind the cancellation, and once that is received, we are not financially responsible if the date can not be booked. I realize my deposit is lost, I just don't want to have to be financially responsible for over 10,000 for their mistake!!!
As most of you know, I had issues with my former RH.
Long story short, I booked awhile back at a RH. Wasn't told that our wedding would be held on a good friday and practically half of our guests would not be able to eat meat. We signed on the spot, and gave our deposit. Once we realized this, we tried to call to cancel, emailed, even went there and nobody would help us or return any calls or emails.
Just got a bill from them asking to pay. I was told by a lawyer friend that we have to write a written letter of the explanation, and get it notarized.
Anyone had a similar experience?
TIA!!!
