Re: candelabra centerpieces

ok let me reask the question -

here is my centerpiece - what else can i do to it to 'spruce' it up? or do you think it is beautiful left alone?

fall flowers in a ring at the base would be perfect. you want to keep the detail of the ironwork, but give something at the bottom so the eye has candy from top to bottom.

i am not wondering if i did the sprinkled rose petals and the votives around?

OR

has anyone seen if i maybe got satin fabric and did like a runching uderneath to sit it on??

has this been done? does anyone know what i mean?

I know what you mean. IMO I think that you should just do votives with some gold, orange & chocolate brown rose petals scattered on the table. The centerpiece itself is so pretty-you don't want to over do it.

Here's my suggestion (and b/c I'm lazy today, I didn't read the other posts, so I apologize if I'm duplicating someone else):

I see:

an orange/yellow (or other fall-colored) runner...and matching votive candles

Re: candelabra centerpieces

so, I'll play devils advocate and say that since the candelabra itself holds a few candles, to go heavier on the flowers and less on the candles around it....

I like the runner too...either way, it's pretty, so it'll be hard to mess up.

Yes, a runner will work on an oval, round, square, rectangular table. You can rent runners and table overlays from vendors like usalinens.net - which are the cheapest. They'll ship them to you the week of the wedding, your hall sets them up, packs them up at the end of the night, and you send them right back (dirty and all.)

I recently 'attended' a wedding, and this is what the bride did.

In regards to your color scheme....(fabulous by the way) - I would go with gold votives to lighten up the candelabra and a gold overlay/runner.
