Candid or Posed

Hey girls
(what's up)

Ok so today is my day off, and i would do some reserch on photographers. I know that i am a Amateur at this wedding stuff But can anyone tell me the difference between Candid and Posed Shots. And if i am right i rather have Candid shots, what photographer would you use?

Posed are exactly that, posed. Everyone stands where and when the photographer wants them to. Traditional.

Candid shots are shots where everyone is doing what they would naturally. For example a picture of you hugging your mom after the ceremony rather than you and your mom posed and told to say cheese. Photojournalistic.

You will probably want both, and photographers are going to give you both, but if you want more candid shots than regular, go with a photojournalist. Traditional photographers generally cannot do photojournalistic photos all that well, but photojournalists can often master posed photos well.

posed are like the pics of everyone just looking at the camera and smiling basically...

most of the photograhers I have seen do mostly Candids. They do the traditonal Posed bridal party and Family and all that kinda of stuff. I think that i am pretty much decided on B rett M atthews
