Re: Candle Placecard holders
I made them myself for my wedding. I used a tea light instead of a votive holder and had them lit about 10 minutes before CH ended. They weren't hot and no one got hurt. There are pics of them in my album.
I love them but, check with you RH before u make them I heard not all places allow them.

They are so beautiful!! I can't wait to make them!! And tea lights work better than votives. Just make sure you don't light them too far in advance otherwise they will burn out (no more than 45 minutes in advance).

I've seen girls use the votive holders with the stems...like a wine glass kinda...this way they hold the stem and the top looks like the one you have posted.
just something to think about....I'll see if I can find a pic...

I used the stemmed ones so that my guests wouldn't burn themselves. I also used tealights, but the RH had a little of a hard time lighting some of them because the tea lights were shorter. I got mine for 2 for $1 at AC Moores.
I have been torn about these. I think they look amazing.
Question about placecards, how far in advance did you make them? Did you have last minute changes?
I think these lights are gorgeous but I have nightmares thinking about rearranging seating and making these the night before my wedding!!!!

A lot of brides on here have made them. I'm sure you could find someone who would make them for you though.

Re: Candle Placecard holders
They weren't too hard. I had made them as bridal shower favors for my friend, so when it came to my wedding I already knew the basics and had it down. I think I did mine the week before the wedding with the help of DH. We did have one or two changes but it wasn't bad. I even had to give the RH a new one to switch out on the day of.
If you are really worried about doing too much before the wedding, you can always do some of them earlier (like your bridal party table, your close family) etc.
