Candle Question

Candle Question

I love candles and want a bunch of them during my reception. The colors on my table will be orange with some cranberry or vice versa. My question is should I buy clear votive holders and use orange or cranberry candles or buy colored votive holders. If I go with the colored votive holders I will only buy one color (just the orange or just the cranberry).

Re: Candle Question

I think you may want to do clear candle holders cause that gives the room a more romantic feeling. The colored candle holders make the light TOTALLY different in the room and MAY make it too dark or not give you the FEEL you want the room to have, ya know what I mean?

So I should buy clear glass votive holders and use colored candles?

Re: Candle Question

Just be careful with the colored candles. I would only buy them if they are unscented. I wouldn't want to bring any other scents into the mix. If you cannot find unscented colored candles, I would do the colored holders instead.

I was just going to say that. Normally colored candles have scents. I don't know if you would want those diferent scents in the room.

I agree, the clear votive holders will look really nice and romantic, and you won't have to be like, 'Now what do I do with these colored votive holders?' after the reception lol.

You should use clear votives and then colored candles. I bought my colored candles from this
site and they are unscented.

hmmmm....unless you are going with colored mosaic candle holders which can be really nice in a home and fit most decor easily, i would go with colored candles
