I know this will sound silly but I really wanted candles for my wedding and the reception is at 1:30. I know the effect won't be as nice as after dark but will it be completely not worth it? The reception is in the Garden Terrace room at Fox Hollow and it's all windows! I thought about maybe asking them to pull down shades (if there are any) a little. I got the tripod CP from Pedestals with 3 pillar candles on the stands and flowers on the bottom.
It's Feb so it'll be darker by the end of the party.
Any insight would be great!

Re: Candles for daytime wedding?
I'm having a daytime reception too and was considering doing candles as well. I think it would totally work. Candles are always beautiful.

Re: Candles for daytime wedding?
We are not going to do candles. The room we have has lots of windows, so I don't think candles will be very effective.

Re: Candles for daytime wedding?
Good idea about asking them to put the shades down for a more intimate look with the candles. Good luck!

Re: Candles for daytime wedding?
You could always have them dim the lights and THEN use candles.

Re: Candles for daytime wedding?
We're having a daytime wedding and have candles (3 pillar candles) in our CPs. Candles create a warm feeling anytime of day.

Re: Candles for daytime wedding?
I am having a 12:30-5:30 reception in a room that is all windows and we are doing candle CPs...I think the atmosphere is changed with candles regardless of the time of day

Re: Candles for daytime wedding?
We had a daytime reception and had candles that went around the pedistals. The shades were closed and the lights were dimmed, and it looked pretty. Go for it!

Re: Candles for daytime wedding?
I'll have to ask if there are shades that we can pull down- mabe half way- we have garden views all around and in Feb that's a nice thing to see.
