Candy Bar Ladies

Hey Girls -

For those of you that have done candy bars...

Do you have any idea how much it wound up costing total? Including all candy and containers, bags, etc...

FH & I were just talking about the cost & when I told him i didn't know, he actually said 'how dare you not know, you've never asked the girls?'....

So - i'm asking now!! :)

I am doing a candy bar and I think it is going to be around $250 dollars. I bought all of my glass jars at A.C. Moore and used a coupon for most of them. I bought 7 jars in total and it cost $80. I found a set of three candy scoops for $5. That leaves me over $150 for candy and since my colors are red and my wedding is in may I was thinking of stocking up on red candy after Valentines day. hth

I posted the same question in 07 brides... Here's a reply I got:

I spent a good amount of money on the candy bar. I would say with all the candy (about 17 different kinds), the bowls at least 17 and the scoops it all came to approx. $500. I am returning all the bowls to the store so that is about $170 back in my pocket.

Its cheaper if you dont stick to your colors. I did and it was a lot.

I wish I had a better picture. I will once I get my proofs.

Hey Girls, heres the breakdown for me:

we had 400 guests so had to spend alot on the quantity of candy and individual jars

$350 for 8 different types of candy from candydirect.com

$64 : $8/8 Large Jar for candies.. from the container store

$20 : $2.50/8 scoops from Sur La Table

$360 : 0.90/400 individual jars from the Jar Store..
