Candy Bar ?'s

Candy Bar ?'s

I was on the Knot and someone from my area said they wanted to get rid of their candy bar jars. I emailed her and she wants $5 a jar. Is that a lot? I feel like I've seen glass Jars at the Dollar Store or Michaels. I feel bad because she's been so nice (shes from my area), now I feel like I can't say no to her. She also has scoopers and wants to sell me those as well. Help, should I buy them? I don't even know if I'm 100% doing the candy bar I hear it can really add up.

I'd just tell her that you need to hold off for now because you have to figure out if you're doing a candy bar. And then if she gets an offer from someone else, you can decide then. ANd if you feel bad, just say, 'I'm sorry - you've been so kind to me, but I dont' want to get them and then end up not using them.'

just tell her that your mom or your FH thinks candy is tacky and dont wont to do it anymore ... that will get you off the hook

Thank you so much for the advice! I really appreciate it. When she said she wanted to get rid of them i was thinking it would be for free...she said they've been sititng in her garage taking up space. If I do buy them I don't think I will charge anyone when I give them away. Any advice where I should start looking?

YIKES! I wouldnt say that!!! Obviously this girl HAD a candy bar so essentially it would be like calling her tacky.

Just tell the truth, you need to look around for the best price.

I ready something about candy buffets saying you should choose 5-8 candies and get 10-15lbs of each. YIKES!!!

They say having just a few pounds of a lot of different ones makes it look more like someone dumped a halloween basket on the table.

Anyone know how many oz per person we should be relying on?

i read some where that you should plan for 1/4-1/2 lb per person.... that just seems like a lottttttttt of candy we are still contemplating if it's worth doing it
