Candy Buffet

Ok, girls, so I gave in, and decided that I DO want to get the candy buffet at my RH... now, with that being said... what do I need...other then the scoops and the jars? lol. Where is the cheapest place to get the candy..? I would like to stick to only blue purple and pink..but I'll settle with chocolates...b/c everyone looves it so much. LOL> Should I get little bags as well? Do I keep it set-up throughout the whole RH? Sorry..never been to a wedding with it, and I never thought I would want one..but I'm sold now.! LOL

We are doing this too. I have been to two weddings that had it and it was such a huge hit. I've heard The Container Store is a good place to get items to hold them...also, I'd wait til close to the wedding to buy the candy. And one final thing, not sure if you like any 'old school' candy but I love things like Now-n-laters etc. and there is a great website called www.oldtimecandy.com where you can order some cool stuff that you don't find elsewhere anymore. They come in bulk and reasonable prices too. Good luck. I think it's a great idea.

Thanks for all your help ladies! I saw a girl posted that she is selling them on here, so if I get them then I'll more then likely be getting them... Or if I can find them dirt cheap! LOL. And, I would like to keep all the candy my colors...pink, purple and blue. LOL

I was in Walmart yesterday and they had lots of glass containers for great prices. I'm definitely going there for my candy buffet!

Re: Candy Buffet

I saw a post on the brides helping brides forum where someone was selling some scoopers and a candy bar set to hold all the different kinds of candy in it. I think the candy bar is adorable!

I do have a question though.. is this in addition to a viennese hour? Like do people do both? Or one or the other? I think the candy bar is adorable but I didn't know it it was as a replacement for other sweets or in addition to.

Re: Candy Buffet

I don't think I'd do the candy bar if I were having a viennese hour...it's more of a favor at the end of the night (at least that's what we're doing and that's how we've seen it at other weddings.)
