For those that have done a candy buffet or planning on doing one, what are you using for the containers for people to use to put candy in? I think I posted this before but can't remember what the replies were - oops! TIA! :)

I see a lot of people using Chinese take out boxes. I think they are actually cute to use.

I used large clear celophane bags and put a custom sticker on each one.
My pro-pics aren't in yet but I will post a bunch of pics of our candy buffet because it came out SO great! Stay tuned.

Can't wait to see!!! My only concern is that I'm also going to have mini desserts, so not sure how the bags would work

oh ya, then I would opt for a box if you're having desserts as well. like mini to-go boxes. we only had candy!

It was immensely popular with guests! I was actually on the dancefloor when they unveiled it so I really can't wait to see some action shots! I was SO happy with how it looked all set up!
We used oversized vintage glass hurricanes in a variety of shapes and sizes and filled them with mostly old school candy...candy dots (the strips of paper - a personal childhood fave)...packs of chuckles...whoppers...snickers....twizzlers....we had like 15-20 different types of candy.
I originally was going to use scoops and vintage penny candy jars but we decided to keep it simple so we used all individually wrapped candy and the jars were large enough for people to just reach right in!

We had a DIY candy buffet at our wedding! It was awesome- one of my must haves. We used chinese take-out boxes with a sticker with our monogram on it. Guests absolutely LOOOOOOOVED it.
