i could live on chocolate if i have to and me an fh just looooove candy. we really want a chocolate fountain, but now we are thinking of having a candy bar. just have a table set up with all kinds of candy on it. what do you think??

candy is my weakness & FH gets mad at me all the time! I have seen this 'candy table' at weddings & I think it is a great idea especially if you are a candy lover!

You should talk to Nessa79. She had a Candy Cart at her Viennese Hour at Chateau La Mer and she loved it.

this is a chocolate fountain, and you get all kinds of yummy treats to dip into the chocolate
they had the chocolate fountain at the WOTy and they had cake, fruit , pretzels and even stuff like rice krispies treats ot dip..SOO good and it was a very big hit.
I also mentioned on the favors thread that I went to a wedding that had a candy table with bags to get candy as you left and it was a BIIIIIIIIIIG hit!
The choco fountain isn't that expensive and some halls are throwing it in, it might actually be cheaper than the candy, so I'd look into both options! I think the choco fountain is less likely to run out, if you do they candy make sure it's only out at the end, or everyone may hog it!

That sounds SOOOOOO good. I'm totally gonna crash your wedding. I really want a choco fountain but we're hvaing a venetian hour thingie. I think someone said my hall might have one by then, maybe they'll throw it in!

i think the add charge at my place for the choco fountain is $500! I think i would defiantely rather have $500 worth of candy... and dont you get to take home all of the leftovers!!!

crash away - you'll all be invited. see my hall does not offer a venetiah hour - they offer the wedding cake, and mints and cookies on the tables. plus there isn't much room for one, the space is kind of limited. now i just have to convince fh to go for it, i'll let you know who wins

we will most likely have both - but have to see about the charge for the choc fountain. but i almost don't care about the cost, b/c i want it soo bad

I was thinking about doing that...having a table on the way out for guests filled with different candy and having a sign that read 'parting is such SWEET sorrow'. I also wanted chocolate fondue @ the venetian hour which maybe a possibility

oooh the choco fountain is so yummy. and Fh fell in love with it at the WOTY. I'm sure once your FH sees it he'll want it too...we might end up getting it even if we ahve to pay for it..
no venetian at SMCC? I was going to look there next, but I fell in love with NRC!!! I need my pastries!! LOL
