Re: Candy for candy buffet

I have had my candy for like a month now. I didn't put chocolate in the fridge though because there was just way too much. I left it in a cool place in our apt. and it is fine. (I live in a basement level where there are some areas that don't get too much sun) I check on it like daily just to make sure its ok. It never really gets warm so I am lucky there.

But I did put my lolipop trees in the fridge because my dum dums started to melt! So be careful with the dum dums!!!

Re: Candy for candy buffet

I just found this online bec. I remember reading somewhere not to put it in the fridge for some reason.... So I think if its in the fridge it will get that whitey look to it.

Storage
Store chocolate in a cool, dry place in its original wrapping or wrapped in foil. Avoid storing chocolate in the refrigerator. Milk and white chocolates will keep this way for about a year. The darker varieties will keep for several years.

Sometimes chocolate will develop white or gray 'clouds' or 'blooms' on its surface. This just means that the cocoa butter has separated. While it doesn't look pretty, the chocolate is still perfectly fine to use and if you plan on melting it, no one will ever know the difference.

Thank you so much . I will wait awhile to order because my basement can get very warm and i don't want them to spoil.

If the weather stays like this then i'll be ordering but if it becomes humid again then i'll wait because my basement gets really hot for some reason
