Candy station at reception

Candy station at reception

My sister was at a gorgeous wedding last weekend and told me that the bride and groom had a 'How Sweet it is' theme. Themes aren't really my thing, but the little touches they had sounded really great. For the place cards, they had a huge glass fishbowl filled with jelly beans and sticking out of them were penny candies (you know, those lollipop type stick things that they sell at old bethpage?) a small tag was taped to each with each person's name and table number.

Their first dance was to James Taylor's 'how sweet it is' and at the end of the night they had a candy bar - all the guests got little bags and could fill them up with candy - it was their favor at the end of the night!

. . . and (this is not candy related) they had some chairs/sofas set up as a photography station - there was a stationary camera set up and you and your friends would sit/arrange yourselves and you had a remote control (or something) that would allow the camera to take a picture. . . the bride and groom would get all these cool shots of their friends at the end of the wedding.

thought i'd pass along these ideas.
