Candy/Caramel Apples

I was thinking of adding this as a dessert for our eparty in 2 weeks....

Easier to make yourself or to buy???

Buy! I have seen them in grocery stores for @ 1$/apple. Not sure if you can make for much cheaper but there would sure be a lot less mess!

ITA! You probably couldn't even make them for that price!

Re: Candy/Caramel Apples

buy... my friend had them as favors and after making 50 it was cheaper and less messy to buy them than make them

Re: Candy/Caramel Apples

I was thinking about 20 was good enough. We are having a cake & pastries, as far as I know. So this would just be an extra.

Plus we are having about 15 kids under the age of 13 so i figured they would enjoy it.

All I need is like a clear wrap and then I will use a purple ribbon to incorporate it into our purple party!

Re: Candy/Caramel Apples

wow, good to know! that is surprising because i would think the inside apple part would go bad... i guess the red candy protects it?

Re: Candy/Caramel Apples

nooooo i don't think they'd be lying!! i was just happily surprised because if i ever DID use them for a favor, dessert, etc., it seems like they have a longer shelf-life than i thought, so you can prepare them in advance (like you did)... i wouldn't worry. :)
