Tonight I made a reservation for the PetSmart Pet Hotel in Commack!
My 2 dogs will be getting the following while I am busy with wedding festivities (2 nights):
A personal suite with a tv (dog friendly shows only!) and a bed for both of them Ice cream every day Play time for a half hour twice a day with their own personal person Casual Walks Food/Water/Treats 2 toys they can each bring and play with A bath before they leave I can even call to talk to them on a phone if I want!
FH said they are getting treated better than we are!
Is this a strange thing to be REALLY excited about? I'm kind of psyched for them...

Re: Canine Check!!!
Sounds like a nice little vacay for your dogs! It's always so comforting to know that they're not miserable while you're away!

Re: Canine Check!!!
OMG this sounds so cute!!! Do you know anyone who has done this before??
My family is going away for two weeks and I was going to join them one weekend (just out east to Montauk) but I can't because I have to stay home to care for the dogs.... maybe we can put them there!!! I am just worried because my one dog is a real chicken and scared of everything... do your two dogs get to stay together the entire time???
On a related note, I kind of wish my job was to be the person to play with the dogs haha.

Re: Canine Check!!!
OMG I'm in LOVE with this!!! How much is that going to cost if you don't mind me asking? I'm devastated that I need to find a strange place for my dog to stay 1 or 2 nights. I love him so much! This would make it easier. Haha

Re: Canine Check!!!
They DO get to stay together. That was important because they aren't big dogs and they can keep each other calm without getting in each others way. Also.. I left them at a kennel to get boarded and not only were they left in a cage, but I asked where my puppies toy was and they had no clue what it even looked like!!!! So obviously, my dog didn't have her toy! They came out so excited, but then acted like I put them in jail for at least a week!.. so I never want to do that again...
Their prices are standard rates, so I might as well tell you..
The suite (which is an upgrade) is $42 a night... it's just standard and comes with walks, feedings, water, tv, and a cozy cot. Then, there's a discount for the second dog. The rest are upgrades... Ice cream is $4, the bath is $13, the private alone time was another upgrade (forget cost)... but if your dog is social, your dog can do group play.
Basically... I gave them almost every upgrade and it's going to cost me just under $300 for both for 2 nights. AND!!!! They have a coupon for buy 1 get 1 free on their website. So, if they have it around the time of the wedding, I can use it!!!
Sorry if this way long..

They actually do have a kitty cottage, but I don't know the pricing. It's really inexpensive. A dog just sitting in a cage doing nothing without any upgrades is like $32 a night. The suite for $42 is just such a big difference (glass door, more room, a cozy cot, and a tv).

Re: Canine Check!!!
I bring my dog to the PS in Commack! She loves it there. I have kenneled her at Pet Hotels her whole little life and she loves it, and I have complete piece of mind. She also goes to doggy day camp there, so I feel better about her not being in the suite the whole time. They are awesome , and the hotel is brand new and REALLY clean. They are gonna have the best time, and you are going to feel totally comfortable and not worried.

Re: Canine Check!!!
omg what a great idea!!!!!! do they have other locations? I would love to put my doggy there. I never leave him alone for long periods of times and Im afraid he will be scared and lonely on my wedding day b/c everyone in my family will be at the wedding.
