ummmmm for you to walk into i dont like it, but thats JMHO....i think, however, that it is such gorgeous music and i actually may want my bridesmaids n groomsmen to come into it before i come in to 'here comes the bride'.....does that have a name??????? LOL
but it is pretty, i just dont know much about acceptable bride music...i kinda always jus assumed ppl used 'here comes the bride'

Re: canon in d
i tend to disagree, but ask how it sounds on organ...it might sound different than with a string quartet!

My sister had canon in d play while the bridal party walked in, and then air on g string for her entrance. it was beautiful and elegant - not somber at all.

oh i love it, im using it for my bms. but funny thing, i didnt realize how embarassed i would feel saying the name of this song to our organist, i paused for a few moments and then just kinda whispered the last two words,

Re: canon in d
Tell that organist that in case he didn't notice his choice of instrument might have something to do with that. Has he not heard the entire song??? If you love it use it. Don't let some guy tell you your song in somber!!!! It's a beautiful piece!!!!
