So 2 months ago a friend emailed me a pic of a dress I loved -it looks like a big cake. I recently found it at a store for $6300 (the designer only designs exclusively to this store) and decided I better look elsewhere for a different dress. On Saturday, I went to a store by my house & really really liked 2 dresses but could not decide between the 2 because they are both so different- one is form-fitting & a bit dramatic & the other one is sweet & traditional. I was basically going to take a few days & make a decision between the 2. Then last night I did a search on ebay & found that a someone was selling the first dress back in July for much much less (it is affordable now) & NO ONE bid on it. I emailed her and she said that it is new & never worn BUT, my mom HATES this dress & really likes both of the other 2. I have no idea what to do... All 3 dresses looked really good on & It's a hard decision for me to make. What are your first impressions of these dresses?
(the 2nd pic, the traditional dress has a v-top in the pic but the actual dress will be straight across.)

So...I picked #2, but that's because I love that dress and want it for myself! The thing is,when will you ever be able to wear anything like this again? So I say if you really like #1 then go for it!

#2 is definitely a very 'sweet' looking dress... is that the look that youre going for? If thats what fits your personality I would go for that....
HOWEVER, I love #1! And I think it gives a real WOW... it sort of reminds me of my justina mccaffrey, which I obviously love! I know that for my wedding I wanted a big fun dress.... you only get one wedding, you might as well go with what you love!

I was torn between 1 and 2...i went with 2 b/c i think it will look better on you,....i think your dark hair will compliment that dress beautifully

It sounds like your mom's opinion is important to you. Did she see #1 on you or just the pic? I would def. go back and try it on again with mom. In the pic it looks like a bit much, I wonder if it's too distracting. I love #2, in that dress you would be the focus of attention, I feel like in #1 all eyes will be on the dress. JMO!
You will be beautiful in any of the 3, and it's important that you love your dress. If you love #1 it will show, and I'm sure you will win your mom over! Good luck!

I think you are right! Yes, my mom saw the dress on me & I would have to agree that the focus would be the dress itself.

I definitely love #2 I know the day is not about your parents and it's about you , but I would have a hard time wearing a dress my parents hated.... But....if you convince them otherwise, then go for it!

I voted #1, but I really like #2 as well. The back of dress #1 is gorgeous and I really like the lace bodice of #2.... you have a hard decision to make! Good luck!

My opninion...#1 is a bit distracting, #2 is sooo beautiful, classic and STUNNING. I really like it. I think is a little sexy also with the neckline. I had the same issue. The first dress I picked my Mom hated.. I went so far as to order it anyway...When it came in, I went with my family to try it on. I wasnt as trilled with it then and was so dissapointed that my mom didnt like it...The sales lady sensed this and showed me a brand new dress the store had in...I tried it on and everyone was speachless including my mom..I exchanged the old dress for the new one. In the end we found something we both LOVED and it was so much more satisfying. Sorry I dont know if that helps...but at the very least know that you arent the alone. Others have been through the same thing.

I voted the first dress because I love it, but it would depend on the rest of the wedding. I would love something like that, but we are having somewhat of a smaller wedding, and it might look disproportionate with the rest of the room, decor, ceremony location, etc.
All are gorgeous though!

I voted #2 also...but it sounds like #1 is your 'it' dress....and if so nothing else will compare! Maybe take mom again to try on all three...and ask her to tell you which you look the happiest in! Maybe that will make her see it a little differently....
