Can't decide CLM or Carlye

I know this has been going on for about a month now...I can't decide on the RH. I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm trying to decide between Carlye on the Green or CLM. I'm def going to do '08 - Carlye I'd do in Oct and CLM in late May (whatever is still available) I need to book soon though (like yesterday)...so I thought I'd ask you girls for some input?

I love the CLM, but that is my RH. It is a quality place that has been in business and recommended forever. It is beautiful and you get so much!

Can I ask you what kind of stuff CLM threw in for you...I want to check it out but also want to be prepared to ask for things if they don't offer it. I haven't started looking yet but want to have a general idea.

CLM in May would be beautiful! Think about how beautiful it will be out and right near the water! IMO, I like CLM and it was on my list with Villa Lombardi's, but I loved Villa more....CLM - the food and service is AWESOME and the view and the place is gorgeous! Follow your heart!

i dont know to much about carlyle...but when we went to clm we fell in love with the ambiance of it......we are both boating\water people and it just fit our personalities......when you find the one you like you will know.....good luck

I'm biased. I loved CLM and the price is lower than anywhere else i called or emailed. CLM was the only place i actually looked at so im not much help

This is like comparing apples to oranges! Both of these places are so different.

I have never heard anyone say anything bad about CLM. I went there and it was nice, but I wasn't overly impressed. (Please, no offense to anyone!!)

My MOH had her reception at the Carlye in October. It was amazing! IMO the Carlye blows CLM out of the water. (no pun intended ) Plus the Carlye has a cute little area to take pictures outside overlooking the golf course. My MOH got some great photos!

If I could do the Carlye I would do it in a heartbeat!

Wow - you can't decide b/w CLM and the Carlyle?!?!?! There's at least a $60 price diff.

I guess if you can afford Carlyle - I'd go with them. That place is just beautiful, plus it's one wedding at a time!

on the green was way to expensive for me even to think of so i am not sure if i am soo much of a help. I am CLM bride and love the hall and the food. We wanted a place near the water and would take our small min that we thought we might have.

I would do a tasting at both places and base it on food and also base it on what you want out of your wedding. As I said i love CLM but I never took Carlye seriously because of the price.

Carlyle..im biased but you really cant compare them..totally different ..Carlyle has more of a country club feel - its not really that tradtional wedding hall feel..i would def go with Carlyle..good luck!

I looked at both places when we were searching. I liked Carlye better than CLM. However it depends on what type setting you would like since they are both so different. CLM is cheaper, but if you can afford Carlye I'd go for it.

Carlyle is great, but it is very expensive. I just don't feel like you get your money's worth there. CML is great for may. It is cheaper which would allow you to add more on to your package.

Its all about you budget and what is most important to you!

both places are great. which place treated you better/offered you more? what kind of style are u going for? clm has the water while carlye has the the beautful outdoors etc....what stuff is important to you???

either place u pick will be great...so it's just which place 'fits' u more or which place is more accomodating. did you ask your family?

Thanks girls...I don't know why this is such a hard decision for me..everyone in the fam is no help. They just say do whatever you want. FH loves CLM and we are def water people. I practically grew up on the water, so I love it. I'm just worried if the weather is bad the place is like all windows and all you're going to look at is bad weather? Maybe I'm putting way too much thought into it but...

I hear ya.... we have the same feeling.... We picked a place on the water too. Just go with your gut. If you're both water people, what will it really matter if it rains? It would rain whether you were at Carlyle or at CLM....so wouldn't it be better to still see the water outside?? I think if you both like water, then you should totally do CLM!

But honestly, you cannot go wrong either way!!!

well i visited it both but it depends what style you are looking for & how many people you are going to invite b/c i think caryle has a bigger ballroom. also caryle is more expensive. CLM i think offers more for your $$. but i heard caryle does amazing weddings. if i c ould afford caryle i would have my wedding there.
