Duet is offering me a better album than Patken. But I love Jessie (Patken Photographer) and feel more comfortable with them. I was a little late for my Duet appt. and Eric seemed to be a bit in a rush and I didnt get the attention I had hoped for. Any advice???

Why not go back and have Eric (or someone else) 'resell' you. I love Duet personally.

I was thinking about doing that. Duet and Patken have similar photography styles. I wish they would have been a little more attentive. It really stinks, b.c Eric gave me a great deal, but I was dissapointed that we didnt click . even though I know its my fault that I was 30 minutes late. But I'm spanish for crying out loud!!! We are always late! lol

I looked at Patken too because i love that style of both of them.. but I settled on DUET... because I couldn't get over their PRICES, their PACKAGEs, and their PICTUREs..... I have seen them do other weddings and the photographers are soooooooooo 'not in your face' I just loved it!

I had mine narrowed down. I strangely ended up picking someone more expensive even though I loved both of their styles.
For me, I went with who I felt like I could spend an entire day with. And FH- one photog was nice but she really annoyed him and I could foresee FH getting totally impatient and then that would put me in a bad mood!
Meet with the other again and you'll know who is right for you.

I choose Patken I loved their work..We booked with Vinnie (that is Jessie's girlfriend).
We saw duet as well and they were cheaper but I just felt more comfortable with Patken. FM me for further details if you want.

I went with Patken... i didnt look anywhere else. I was completely sold wheni met with them.

I would choose Duet. I didnt like Patken because they lied to me and they were nasty. Maybe they had a bad day but, that was the impression they left on me. They do great work but, I liked Duet, they were my 2nd choice.

IMO I would go with someone you were more comfortable with. That was just what was more important for me than anything bc I know it will show in the pics if im not comfortable.

Not to try to sway you, but Eric isn't a photographer so you dont necessarily have to click with him. Definitely give them a second chance - I have to look for my contract to seewho I dealt with when I booked but he was great.

I booked Patken on Saturday with Jessie. I loved her from the beginning. My cousin used Vinny and loved his work. I couldn't believe how much we clicked with Jessie from the beginning. I didn't look into Duet but i did look into Thomas Paul he was also amazing. It just came down to the fact the Jessie is our style all the way....
I would have to say that photo's are one place to just spend the money and save in other places. I decided that I will decorate the church myself and save on flowers that way.

DUET DUET DUET DUET!!! I'm sorry but I have to tell you that this is my FAVORITE vendor that we booked- in all seriousness... I am confident enough in their professionalism and quality that we booked them before out RH. They did 5 weddings in my FH's family- my favorite thing about them is that they get EVERYTHING! AND you don't see them- they don't get in the way of you and your guests, its like they are invisible- until of course you need them or you smile- then, flash flash flash... all your memories. My MOH used them and we were able to see them in full action the whole time- I can't wait to do my e-pics with them. GET ALBERTO!!! FM me if you have ANY questions at all!!! GOOD LUCK

We booked with Patken, but I did call to make an appointment with Duet. Unfortunately they were already booked for our day so we never actually met with them, I can't personally compare. From what I've seen, they both do beautiful work so I say either one you pick you will probably be very pleased.

I absolutely agree. No matter how great the photographer is, if you're not comfortable with them it's totally going to reflect in your pics. Meet with a few photographers and see who you're most comfortable with. Hope you find someone you really like
