Can't decide: Patken or Duet

Duet is offering me a better album than Patken. But I love Jessie (Patken Photographer) and feel more comfortable with them. I was a little late for my Duet appt. and Eric seemed to be a bit in a rush and I didnt get the attention I had hoped for. Any advice???

This is true! My Mom is Cuban and I know what you mean about Spanish being late!!!!! A trait that I inherited!

BTW, I'd go with Duet. Not because I picked them but Patken- I heard good and bad. I never heard anything bad about Duet. I know people who have used them and they are thrilled with them!

Are both photographers really good? Cause I see that the other 2 couples that are getting married the same day as me, booked them, so they are probably both booked on that date. I haven't even looked at photographers yet, not I'm scared that the good ones are taken. I didn't think April of 09 would book so fast especially on a Friday night.

Actually I just called Duet and they still are open on my day -YEAH!!! So I am going to make an apt.

i say DUET. i bmet with both and I didnt like Patken's packages nor did i like the way they gave me 48 hours to decide or else. i know you can't leave them hanging on forever but none of my vendors ever verbally told me I had a certain amount of time. also DUET includes everything!!! ther's no price for a digital album verses a traditional. with alot of other photographers there are all these conditional packages.

We used Duet and were so happy with them. Remember that you don't need to 'click' with Eric because he won't be your photographer. All the photogs at Duet do a fabulous job - we had Jay and Danny, you can see my LIW album for 300+ proofs to give you an idea

MY SIL just had the same problem... she was torn between these 2 and just booked Duet. We had Duet and loved them. Our proofs were amazing and they were great to work with. I hear their packages are a lot better and you get a lot of proofs. With that said, you have to trust yourself and go with who you loved and feel comfortable with.

Wow. It seems that a lot of people really like DUET. Me and Christine (2010 bride) are thinking of going to DUET (my 2nd time her 1st) on Friday night (pending our FH's let us free for the night). I will keep you guys posted... although I gotta say....'Patken had me at hello'.
