I suggest you keep shopping. And go alone. Every dress I trie don was 'OOH''ed and 'AHHH''ed by my mom and sister. It was great fun, but I would up buying a dress without loving it. Now I have another dress that I LOVE, but boy did I feel guilty for my mom losing a $400 deposit...

You have to keep on looking! I regretted not taking my time, only spend 1 month to look 'cus I didn't think the dress was so important for me but now although I like my dress, I am not in LOVE with it. :(
It takes 4-6 months and you got almost a full year! Take your time! You can order it even in December!
I know Phyllis at gownfind.com can get you most dresses she offers in less than 3 months.

I would definitely keep looking. I had that OMG feeling for a dress I almost didn't try on. Make sure to try on things you don;t think you want. You never know.

Keep looking, i had trouble finding too, i tried on atleast 80 or so dresses! EASY! I kept going back to 2 and it took me a couple months to make up my mind between the 2, and i LOVE my dress! everything came together, found perfect earring, hair style and veil.. i love the other one still, but now knowing what i want with hair and jewelry i dont think it would have worked out as nicely in the end!

These ladies kept making me feel like I had to order my dress right away bc it takes like 6 months for the dress to come in and then there needs to be time to alter the dress.
I guess they are just selling....

i ordered mine 9 months before... it depends on the store/dress.. some places told me 6 months some told me 3, some told me 9...

no its true...i used to work at the Macy's Bridal shop in Manhasset...the dresses can take anywhere from 3-9 months to come in depending on the style and stuff...the dresses come from over seas and they don't ship the orders until they have a certain amount of that specific dress...so sometimes it can take awhile..they make the dresses from scratch, they're not sitting in a warehouse somewhere...but yeah you can wait until december...you should still be ok...don't worry hunny keep looking you'll fine the ONE...i'm still looking for the dress that's the ONE for me...i thought i found it but my mother refuses to help me with it so she's making appointments for me to go to discount places..she just doesn't get it

I would definitely keep looking!! I had the same feeling as you. I started to feel that they were all looking the same and they were not quite what I wanted. The dress I eventually ended up getting was scrunched up on a hanger by the dressing rooms - not even one I picked out. I just casually said 'thats pretty' and the lady made me try it on. The minute I had it on I thought it was perfect and I didn't want to take it off!! Trust me - you'll know when it's right!!

Definitely keep looking sweety. I am actually in the same situation and honestly thiking about it last night and reaind the boards made me make up my mind to keep looking. It's a wonce in a lifetime moment so why not. You deserve it!!!!

i would keep looking. i searched for a dress for 9-months. i found one that i loved and ordered it. i couldn't really envision jewelry/hair/make-up with it and was going nuts trying to figure out what to do. as fate (or something) would have it, the vendor screwed me over and i wound up having to start my dress search all over. i found a dress that as soon as i put it on was like, 'this is the one'. the best part is that everything else has been so much easier to pull together.
oh, i'd also recommend trying on dresses that you don't think you'd like. ironically, the dress i have now is in the style that i was completely trying to avoid!

I looked for months and was driving myseldf insane, I finally found my dress, went all the way down to Philly to try it on!
