I was at a restaurant last night and a really popular Motown song came on the radio that as soon as I heard it I was like I am going to have that for my cake cutting song. It was a really popular song but now for the life of me I can't remember how it goes. It had something like 'How Sweet' but it is NOT How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You. Please are there any music buffs or Motown lovers who can help me figure out this song. TIA
Totally guessing but what came to my mind was Twist and Shout...... they say stuff like 'you know you look so good/so fine' they might say something about being sweet I dno... just throwin it out there! haha

'How Sweet It Is (to Be loved by you)' would be the only Motown song with those words, but that doesn't mean it isn't part of a line from another song, non-Motown. Also, the song itself was recorded by about 35 different artists, and more than one under the Motown label.
Do you recall what the voice sounded like? Man, woman, both? And do you recall ANY other words?

It was a male group it definetly IS NOT How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You. I'm so mad, because I can't even remember any lines of the song right now.
