Can't seem to find a hall I love
Re: Can't seem to find a hall I love
Welcome! and congrats.....where exactly are you looking......? ive heard from some brides that Caffe on the green is reasonable (bayside) i do know that Leonards also has a package with less food and things that may be in your budget....what season are you looking at?

Mediterranean Manor was under $60 when we booked our wedding. All of our guests thought we paid so much more. They did an excellent job! I would have went there even if I won the lottery. It was amazing!

So far we've looked at The Metropolitan (loved it, but just SLIGHTLY more than we wanted to spend), Crest Hollow C.C, Chateau la Mer (we really liked this, but I feel like the room might be too big for just 120), and Harbor Club (loved it, too much $). I'm going to look at Riviera on Sat. also. I feel like I'm checking out websites, and not seeing anything i love. I would like to do November. My mother and FI are saying to consider January, but the possibility of cancellations due to bad weather scares me!! I probably sound like I'm being a pain in the ***, but I swear I'm trying not to be!! LOL

I found that most of the time country clubs were more reasonably priced than regular wedding halls. Look into the Lessing's properties (Timber Point, Tall Grass), and Bellport CC. With many places, if you tell them your budget they'll try to work with you. It might mean cutting back on food or something else, but if you really love a place it's worth it.

Try the Fox Hollow, Crest Hollow or Westbury Mannor can probably be in your price range.
Re: Can't seem to find a hall I love
Try Tall Grass CC. Good Luck and Welcome!!

My wedding was at West Sayville Country Club so of course I love it. It's a Lessing's property. Definately check it out.
Re: Can't seem to find a hall I love
I originally couldn't find anything that i liked in my price range. Finally I decided that i was willing to increase my budget to have the wedding of my dreams. In the end in-laws were willing to chip more money to help my dream come true. It's just a thought.

I looked at 25 halls before I found the one that was perfect for us. Keep looking - your hall is out there. To reduce costs consider Friday night, or Sunday afternoon instead of a Saturday night, since that is the most expensive day/time to have a wedding.
Re: Can't seem to find a hall I love
try Swan club

Definitely try to keep an open mind about the time of year you want to get married, and the day of the week/time. We went into looking at halls dead-set on a June or July wedding on a Saturday night. I've since learned that we could've saved a TON of money by having our wedding in the off-season/having it on a Friday. I wish I'd listened to the people that told me to check out off-season prices.
