cant sleep- dress nightmare!

So for the most part I've tried to remain calm cool and collected for everything.
The one thing I couldnt wait for was my FH to see me walk down the aisle in my slighty unique David Bridal gown. I've been so thrilled about it, looking forward to wowing my guests. Well- my wedding is in 54 days. Yesterday we went to a friends wedding, who is invited to ours, and a decent amount of people at her weddings is also invited to ours, and she was wearing my dress!!!!!!
I almost passed out, now I just feel like all of the guest we share will say on my wedding day, 'Oh, isnt that *****'s dress?'
Im so dissapointed, I cant tell you. Some people may think Im over reacting, but when it happened, I was literally devastated. Now FH has seen the dress...So NO wow factor..and it was on someone else!!
it's like, 'Been there, Done that!'

Im soo tempted to call DB and ask them if I could trade in my never worn, or altered gown, and get something that makes me feel SPECIAL and gorgeous again, not like a bad re-run.

PS- if our weddng wa like in 6 mos I wouldn't care- because it would give people time to forget. but its in literally 54 days!! And also- FBIL was snapping away pics with his professional camera... so the image is going to be fresh in everyone's mind. I felt myself loathing the dress by the end of the night. It wasnt mine anymore... I just dont want it. I feel like I went to my prom and had the same dress as someone! It lost that 'Specialness' to me.

I am so sorry this happened to you!! If I were you I would feel the same way. I would call DB and ask if you can switch it for a different gown.

I would be really upset too and I would try to get another dress.

I am so sorry, that really *****. Is there something u can add to this dress to make it look a little different? If not I would def. see if you can get a different dress.

I know youre upset but i bet no one notices. Dresses look completely different on different people.

Wow, I would be devastated as well. Logically, I bet very few people will realize it's the same dress (besides your friend) but I am like you and would feel like the dress isn't special anymore.

No one will know!! Dress your up more, wear your hair different, different jewelry, shoes, go more dramatic!!

awww!! i would have felt the same way...you are not overreacting. That stinks! If you really cannot see yourself in the dress anymore, then there is no harm in talking with David's Bridal. I would suggest to try the dress on again before you make an decisions. You might love it more than you think!! We all look so different in our dresses...
