Cant stand FH's family

Ok, so this morning I receive my FSIL's respond card back. I see that she marked 7 people. but in her household its only 5. So I go up to FH and asked him who else is she bringing to the wedding.

He has no idea. I said maybe she included your father and mother in her card. I told him to call her and find out. I specifically said if its not his mom or dad, then she cant bring anymore outside guests. We just cant afford it.

So he calls her and she said that during the month of June her husband's sister and husband will be coming down and they are the extra to.
NOW instead of saying sorry but we cant afford 2 more people since we already invited 240. he says ok

I was so pissed. is it that hard to say sorry we are paying for our wedding and we cant afford it.

Thats crazy. I would be so uncomfortable just adding other peoples names to someones wedding. People can be soo rude!!!

Yep. extra what I was thinking. How in the world can someone pull something like that...its also pretty messed up that ur FH just went along with it...Im sorry..I would be P.O. too..

Pretty rude! I don't think my FH's family could find any more family members if they tried: we are inviting my FSIL's cousin & boyfriend. That's how you get 150 'family members'. Grrrr.

Hang in there kiddo, it can only get better. My FH boss (lady sent back her shower invite with just her the she has the nerve to just bring some friend of hers with her, the girls had to scurry around, it ruined the table seating, table chart there was not favor for her and the girls had to go pay for her....What the heck.
then the RSVP for the Wedding we just got about two weeks ago she sent back with her daughter who we cannot stand, who drinks too much everywhere, I tell you people have some nerve so I understand why you are so upset, but at this point, blow it off and just take a deep breath, all these nutty things brides have to deal with, are there really that many people out there who are just that rude and who have Zero proper values regarding RSVP's.

i have never even heard or imagined of anything so rediculous.
Call her right away and tell her that this is very uncomfortable for you, but you cannot invite her relatives due to space limits and budget constraints. Is as simple as that.
As someone who went through this and did NOT put my foot down, I still, 3 months after my wedding am resentful and mad that I didn't speak up. YOu're the and what you say goes.

I was so angry, that i told FH he better call her or I am. So he said he would handle it. I said to FH you had the chance to handle it before and you completey blew it

SOOOO. he finally calls and her and tells her that we are on a budget and we really cant afford to add 2 more people to the list. FSIL says well I really have to bring them. I cant just leave them at home. R U Freaking serious.

So she agreed to pay for their plates. FH husband told her that she really should of called us and discussed it with us rather than accusming it was ok.

Now the whole seating arrangements are screwed up because now everyone isnt going to fit at his mom's table.
