I was informed I can not throw petals at my church. They said it was some sort of safety issue. Any ideas on what else? I really would prefer no bubbles, and have seen bad experiences with butterflies. I would love any other thoughs.

I just ordered these in my wedding colors. They were $42 plus shipping for 50 of them and they make great pics
Because it will likely be dark by the time our mass is finished, we are thinking about sparklers. I haven't checked with our parish yet, but that's the idea I'm running with right now.

I was going to use the bubbles but then I saw the wands and like them too so now I don't know what to do. I can't throw petals either.

Wedding Streamers are good. They look great in pictures and it's easy to clean up because they don't leave the guests hand.

I know it is sad and not nice at all, but part of me just wanted to ignore the do non use petals rule and get my one picture of me and my husband walking out of the church to colorful rose petals in the air picture. Can I actually do that? I know I should respect the wishes of the church, but what are they going to actually say after it is all said and done. I can't believe am actually thinking of doing this. That is truely what I invisioned as an exit to the church in my mind.
I do like the wands with ribbon though. It is definitely a nice alternative. Very festive too. Thank you!
