Can't we all just get along?

I am sorry if my FMIL vent caused drama.

What I am angry about has apparently caused a $h1tstorm.

I didn't want my post to turn into this. I apologize to those who have gotten upset about it and thank those who saw my side of things.

i dont think you have to apologize. You have a right to post about whatever you want. The way people act afterwards is their business and not yours and you didnt cause that.

Hey ive seen drama on here when ppl post about small things such as icicle lights or asking a simple question. The OP cant be responsible for everyone that posts in their thread.

Babe, you didn't cause anything. Just posted a vent that other people commented on, myself included. If I'm not mistaken, that's what this board is for!!

I agree.... no appologies! Can't appologize for the way you feel. You have a right to feel however you wish!

I just read through everything on the original post and here's my two cents...first of all,you were completely right to be annoyed. It's one thing to not know what the ettiquette is, it's another to know and be defiant about it and then to add insult to injury by telling you to work around her color scheme.

Also, you were coming to LIW girls for support to talk about it. No one should be lecturing you - even if they disagreed. Sadly, I feel some of those women were doing just that - ignore those responses. Don't apologize for a thing. This is the place to vent about this stuff.

I'd take a breath, move forward with whatever colors you would like and whatever your Mom would like and ignore that FMIL was out of line and lacking in the ettiquette department. Everything will work out great in the end. And if you have additional frustrations, don't feel bad about posting them. Seems to me most of us on here tend to be very supportive and even though some disagree, they usually say it in an appropriate way. A few don't and that's their drama. Not the rest of ours. Good luck to you.

i just read the WHOLE other thread and this one... i'm gonna say, i totally agree with these! don't apologize. you're allowed to feel how you feel! everyone goes through things. and that what LIW is supposed to be for, at least in part!! just vent, take what works, ignore what doesn't. and i hope it all smoothes over for you two and FAST!

You definitely should not apologize!!!! I don't know what is going on lately but it seems people are quick to jump down each others throats for having an opinion.. Honestly, it is making me think I shouldn't post on here so much.. Regardless, you feel the way you do and you have the right to feel that way! You should never apologize for the way you feel... We are all here because we have one huge thing in common.. We are lucky enough to be marrying the people we love VERY much and we should always support each other no matter what the issue is!
