Capital One Go Miles card question

DH and I are thinking about getting this card to use for purchases that we will pay off each month but earn miles at the same time.

So our question is does anyone know if you have to carry a balance to actually earn the miles or can you pay your balance in full each month and still get the miles.

FH and I just applied for this card over colubus day weekend. we should have done it as soon as we got engaged.

I dont know some of the specifics you are asking but basically you can use it for all amercian based airlines, the points dont expire, and for the first year, all travel related expenses are double points...so we should get double for hawaii.. so hopefully paying for hawaii on this card will enable us to do something cool for our one year anni
