We brought our Saab in for a 30K mile check up...and the convertable need to be fixed...
so we picked it up...everything was good...well on the way home...all of the oil fell out!!!! the mechanic forgot to put the nut on the oil pan!!!
so we had it towed...thinking we caught it in time...nope!! needs a new engine!!! thanks goodness we aren't responsible for any of this...they gave us a loaner and they are flying a new engine in from Sweden... its just so aggrivating...

well at least its not your fault and they are taking full blame.
That stinks that you have to go through it and wait for your car but hopefully you'll have it back soon

See if you never moved to SD then this would not have happened!!!!!

OMG!!! I can't believe that happened, that's one of my biggest fears come to life. Every time I go in for an oil change I worry that will happen, even though I never heard of it actually happening. At least they see that it's not your fault!

I am just so happy that it was done at the dealership...could you imagine if we had gone to a jiffy lube or something? I don't think it would be as easy...
I should rethink my other cars oil changes...its 5 years old...so I stopped going to the dealer...and just went to quick lube places...maybe I shouldn't!!??

OMG... that exact same thing happened to my Porsche about 5 years ago!!!! Like we don't pay these guys enough to remember the nut for the oil pan!?!?!!?
