Does anyone know what the healthy daily allowance of carbs is? Thanks for your help.

Re: carbs

Atkins diet allows 25 grams of carbs a day. That is after the first two weekes of being really strict!!!

Re: carbs

On Atkins, during the first two weeks you should be having a min. of 15 carbs a day and a max of 20 carbs a day. This range is totally healthy and has no health risks attach to it at all.
You can do induction for as long as you like, but you must do it for a min. of 2 weeks.
I hope this helps. If you have any other questions FM me.

The amount of carbs one's body can 'handle' varies... I can eat more carbs than my DH for example. I try to keep my carbs to 20-25 grams of stuff like Wasa Crackers, Peanuts, Peanut Butter, Low Carb Treats. I DO NOT count my veggie carbs (of course I do not eat any HIGH CARB veggies like Corn, Potatoes, Peas)... but I eat unlimited salad, cucumbers, etc (they are good for you and eating natural vitamins is ALWAYS the best way).
